Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Statia, Inc. ("Statia," "we," "us," or "our") collects through drinkstatia.com and the Statia Restore early access list, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The site and early access list are intended for people in the United States.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you join the early access list, we collect:

• Email address — the only thing we ask for. It is how we hold your place in line and how we tell you when the order window opens.
• Sign-up details — your position on the list, the time you signed up, and, if you arrived through a link that carried a referral code, that code.
• Messages you send us — if you email us, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when you visit, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the referring URL. We use these logs to run, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

We do not ask for your phone number, and we do not collect payment information through the early access list. No purchase is required to join.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Send you launch updates by email: formulation decisions, lab results, and the batch #001 order window.
• Hold your place in line and honor the founding offer for the first 200 sign-ups.
• Prevent duplicate, automated, or fraudulent sign-ups.
• Operate, secure, and improve the site.
• Respond to your questions and requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Emails From Us

By joining the early access list, you agree to receive launch-related emails from Statia. We expect to send roughly two to four a month.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing info@drinkstatia.com. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and usually much sooner. If you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a suppression list so that we don't email you again.

4. Service Providers

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and the early access list, and only for that purpose:

• Resend — email delivery. Your email address is stored in our Resend contact list so we can send you updates.
• Upstash — database infrastructure, provided through Vercel. Your email address, list position, sign-up time, and any referral code are stored in an Upstash Redis database.
• Vercel — website hosting. Vercel processes the server logs described above.

These providers process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own marketing. They are based in the United States.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Statia or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. We Don't Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We have never done so.

6. Cookies, Local Storage, and Do Not Track

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels, and we do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your activity on our site over time or across other websites. Our fonts and images are served from our own site.

After you join the list, the site saves your place in line in your browser's local storage so it can show your position when you return. This stays on your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don't track visitors across websites or sell or share personal information, there is no tracking for these browser signals to switch off. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, which already applies to everyone.

7. Data Retention

We keep your email address and sign-up details while the early access list is active and for as long as needed to honor the founding offer and launch commitments, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@drinkstatia.com; we complete deletion requests within 30 days. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention schedule.

8. Security

We limit the information we collect and use reputable providers that encrypt data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Texas, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these).
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We extend these rights to everyone on our list, wherever they live. To make a request, email info@drinkstatia.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address it concerns so we can verify it. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will respond within 45 days.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

10. Children

The site and early access list are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify people on the early access list by email before they take effect.
